Austin Hunter, Atlanta Georgia
Austin started his acting career at the age of 3 on the front porch staring as Mr Bundles in his sister’s own version of Annie. Eight years later his mom let him tag along on a trip across the pond with her lacrosse team, where he saw his first West End musical. By then he had been hooked, he started attending classes and doing shows at CYT Atlanta and Performers Warehouse. And eleven years after his initial visit to the UK he graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. There he trained in acting (for radio, TV/ film, and stage), voice, Shakespeare, movement, and stage combat.
His approach to acting and vocal technique derive from the teachings of Estill, Chekov, Stanislavski, Mamet, Rodenburg, Brecht, and Linklater. Austin enjoys playwrights such as Duncan Macmillan, Arthur Miller, Tennessee Williams, Simon Stephens, and Shakespeare.
Recently, Austin played Franz in The Gate Theatre Production of Kasimir and Karoline, as well as Fabio in The Sicilian Courtesan directed by RSC’s Lawrence Boswell. While he is still pursuing his career in acting, Austin is very passionate about coaching others in acting and vocal support.
